See These Latest Interior Design Color Trends

Do you need some fresh ideas for color for your home or office? Check out these current interior design color trends to give you some much-needed inspiration.

Grays are still a go-to color, but try mixing them with back-to-nature bolder, brighter, and deeper colors like this rich green, SW 0016 Billard Green from Sherwin-Williams.

You've been waiting for it, right? Well, guess what? The 1970's colors are back!!! Be looking for brown, terracotta, sage, and mustard colors. If you have been there, done that, then you get to do it all over again. If you have never used these colors, now is the time to give them a try.

Back to Nature! Interior design color trends are reverting back to calming natural colors. Remember when Chocolate Brown was popular? Why not give it another chance to shine? Check out these beautiful brown tones.

Even with the addition of some new trending colors, (actually recycled colors from the past),

grays and greige colors remain completely on-trend for this year. Mix them up with bold colors or the ever-popular whites. The combinations are timeless. White is a perfect update for tired old red or yellow oak cabinets. Sherwin-Williams has some of the best white colors for both interiors as well as exteriors, Pure white, Extra White, Alabaster, Greek Villa, and Snowbound to name a few. Go to one of their stores and check them out!

SW 7005 Pure White is one of my very favorite white colors. The reason is that it is a crisp and clean white but has just enough color in it to soften it down a bit. If you want to see this for yourself, take a color card of Pure White and lay it on top of a piece of bright white paper. You will see that it has a little bit of color in it, but yet not yellow. If you want a crisp white, be sure to consider SW 7005 Pure White as a possibility.

My hope is that you have enjoyed exploring these current interior design color trends. Colors always recycle. I am a gal of the 1970s and love that these colors are currently trending as they are nostalgic for earlier and quieter times of years ago. Why not give them a try and see if they evoke fond memories for you or even better yet, create new ones.

...until next time!
